VIETNAM COFFEE CHALLENGE 2024

The year 2024 marks the promising return of the Vietnam Coffee Challenge (VCC) – the most prestigious Barista competition in Vietnam, now in its 5th edition. It promises to deliver an explosive season on both national and international scales.

Founded by Vietnamese people, adhering to international standards, and led by a team of experts with over 20 years of experience in the coffee industry, VCC proudly serves as a prestigious and professional playground for Vietnamese Baristas.

With the spirit of “PLAY HARD – PLAY FAIR – BE PROUD,” VCC 2024 aims to create a fair and transparent environment for Baristas to exchange ideas, learn, and have opportunities for personal development both now and in the future. This also serves as a foundational platform for Baristas to gain more experience for larger competitions domestically and internationally.

Spanning across the North, Central, and South regions, with 4 offline competitions in Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Ho Chi Minh City, and moving towards the finals at the Vietnam Coffee Expo, this is a chance to connect and interact with numerous enterprises in the F&B sector and Baristas from both inside and outside the country.

With remarkable results from the VCC 2023 competition, which attracted 20,000 livestream viewers, 19,000 visitors, 31 Vietnamese and international judges with extensive experience in the coffee industry, and the largest number of participants in Vietnam at 324.

The main competition categories will include:

  • Pour Challenge (Individual competition in Latte Art – coffee decoration art)
  • Brew Challenge (Individual competition in manual coffee brewing)
  • Roastery Challenge (Team competition in coffee roasting)

A highlight of 2024 is that contestants will receive coffee knowledge training through a Discussion Room led by international champions. Additionally, after participating in the domestic competitions in regional rounds, the top 36 contestants will have the opportunity to interact and compete with champions in Southeast Asian competitions and even Australia at VCC 2024.

With these aforementioned highlights, VCC 2024 once again reaffirms its position as a competition created by Vietnamese people but with the stature of an international arena.
