THE 8TH COFFEE EXPO VIETNAM
Ho Chi Minh City is set to host the 8th edition of the Coffee Expo Vietnam (CEV 2024) from October 31 to November 2, 2024.
Organized by Coex and supported by the Vietnam Coffee Cocoa Association, the Vietnam Coffee, Tea, and Bakery Expo – known as ‘Coffee Expo Vietnam’, is one of the foremost international trade shows in Vietnam’s food and beverage, as well as coffee sectors. It is also a part of the Coffee Expo series organized in Seoul.
Over the years, this platform has earned the industry’s trust, and holds credibility for enabling meaningful handshakes and unlocking business opportunities for companies in these sectors.
This year marks the 8th edition of Coffee Expo Vietnam since its inception in 2015, and it promises to be the largest yet with 200 booths (4,400m2) showcasing 250 brands from 15 countries. CEV 2024 will feature the latest in premium coffee and tea, related products, ingredients, machinery, facilities, and desserts.
A “playground” connecting Businesses
Coffee Expo Vietnam 2024 serves as more than just a venue for showcasing and presenting products, it also functions as a dynamic platform that fosters effective connections and collaborations among businesses and their partners. The event is committed to maintaining its ‘1:1 Biz-Matching Program’ which streamlines in-person encounters by offering appointment scheduling and interpretation services.
Noteworthy among its features is the ‘New Product Showcase’ section, an essential corner for visitors where businesses can showcase their latest products and innovations.
Fueled by the aspiration to act as a bridge between enterprises and prospective customers, Coffee Expo has emerged as the most successful “playground” that unites businesses engaging in the industry’s supply chain by facilitating insight exchange, market research, exploration of export prospects, and garnering fruitful investment opportunities.
A bonding space for Coffee Enthusiasts
CEV 2024 is not just an exhibition but a vibrant event packed with enriching activities. A highlight of the exhibition will be the Grand Coffee Challenge, the professional competition for baristas in three significant challenges, including Brew Challenge, Pour Challenge, and Roast Challenge. This year, top contestants from ‘Vientiane Coffee Challenge’ and ‘Australia’s Battle of Darwin: Latte Art Smackdown 2.0’ will represent Laos and Australia in the Grand Coffee Challenge, competing against the best baristas in Vietnam, who are selected from the ‘Vietnam Coffee Challenge’. It is anticipated to serve as a platform for baristas to learn, exchange skills, connect, and fortify their community.
One of the other famous competitions will also be held in CEV 2024 is PCA Cup Tasters Vietnam, awarded to the professional coffee cupper who demonstrates speed, skill, and accuracy in distinguishing the taste differences in specialty coffees. Coffees of the world have many distinct taste characteristics and in this competition format the objective is for the cupper to discriminate between the different coffees. Using skills of smell, taste, attention and experience, the cupper will identify the odd cup in the triangle as quickly as they can.
In addition, visitors can join performances of professional baristas and enjoy various types of coffee and pastry at the Training Class and Roastery Experience sub-events.
In the framework of CEV 2024, seminars and discussions with experts will be held, aiming to update businesses on development trends, as well as difficulties and challenges facing the regional tea and coffee industry.
With an expected attendance of around 20,000 visitors, CEV 2024 promises a bustling atmosphere filled with networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and discovery.
